A New Hope
Nah it's not about StarWars, sorry that comes later, far far away.
Schappelle Corby, still in Bali and the jails there are still so terrible. Oh wait, I mean, she's still innocent. For her 8 month ordeal, she has claimed innocence with no real proof. She's simply complained about how bad the jails are. Her defence is just "I'm not guilty." What are her attorneys getting paid for again?
Now, with only days left before an expected verdict by the judges of the case, whom have claimed on several an occasion they are not convinced of her innocence (no sh*t Sherlock). The Australian Federal government has promised the introduction of new evidence which no doubt will clear Corby. Why'd they wait to this exent? Everyone knows "I didn't do it," is never going to get you clear.
Makes you wonder what the government is going to do for the Bali 9 who pretty much signed their own excution notices. The government might play hardball, and order their release. Or, give the Balinese what they want, and by their judicial system, are entitled to.

MediaWars
It's a bitch ain't it? First, the media broadcasts attacks before they happen, jeopradising the safety of the mission. Then they inject their reporters with units, like they have a genuine reason to be there. Now, they conjure up reports whether they're accurate or not is not the issue. The media must be responsible for what they publish.
Newsweek recently ran an article in which they reported interrogaters destroying copies of the Quran (Muslim Holy Book) to incite their prisoners to speak. This in turn is what has been to blame for the violent roits in Afghanastan and has created yet more tension between the muslim and christian communities.
Even if this report was true, which at this current time has no proof to its credit, it is not something that at this time should have, if ever been published. It's already directly lead to 15 deaths and many injured.

Oil-for-Food
Vladimir Zhirinovsky, Russia's deputy parliament speaker has apparently between 1997 and 2003 profitted $9million from an exchange program with Suddam Hussein. In which he was allocated 76 million barrels of crude oil, that he then sold on the open market.
Basically he and several other prominant Russian officals cheated the system to make themselves richer. Yet they did give food to the Iraqi government per their contract. Now this food, was infact clean and unpoisoned. It went a long way to feeding all of Hussein's family. Big family you know.
Now why get all hectic and crazy over this? Yes they should've kept the oil for Russia, but they didn't. At least they didn't invade Iraq, kill thousands of people, including their own to just flat out own all the oil. Least in tis case there was some sort of compramise that didn't cost lives.
Infact, generated, livelyhood.
